Crazy crafting!
Today I have a TOTALLY CRAZY craft planned. It is so crafty that you need tons of supplies and a lot of crafting experience. This is so crazy that it took me two days to get the craft done. Let's check it out!
Figure 1: The finished card
What you need:
Watercolors and paintbrush
White embossing powder, embossing ink, heat gun and coffee filter
White paper (card stock or watercolor paper)
Blue paper
Fun scissors
Ribbon
Glitter
Glue
Fasteners with holes or hole punch (I'm using a Crop-o-dile but it is an older tool and is harder to find)
Whale and message stamp
Blue ink
Painter's tape
A slide cutter
Figure 2: the TONS of supplies
Step one: Cut the paper to a managable size with the slide cutter. It should be square. I cut it to 6 in by 6 in.
Figure 3: Cut the paper to a square.
Step two: Use the painter's tape to tape the paper to a craft mat that you don't mind getting watercolors on. Watercolors will wash off easily with water, so even if you do make a mistake you can always wash it off later.
Figure 4: Tape down the paper with some painter's tape.
Step three: Begin painting it with blue watercolors. Use some different kinds and make it look like water.
Figure 5: Painting the paper
Step four: Wait for it to dry, then peel up the tape. I then painted it with glue and shook on some silver glitter.

Step five: While waiting for it to dry, take the blue paper and cut a small rectangle about 1 1/2 in by 3 1/2 in with the slide cutter.

Step 6: Cut the ends with some fun scissors to make it look nice.
Figure 8: Cut, cut, cut!
Step 7: Stamp some embossing ink onto your card using the stamp with the message on it.
Figure 9: Stamp, stamp, stamp!
Step 8: Place it on the coffee filter and apply the embossing powder.
Figure 10: Shake, shake, shake!
Step 9: Use the heat gun to heat it up and make it look less grainy.
Figures 11 and 12: The heat gun!
Step 10: Stick it to the gluey glitter on the card from earlier. If it is dry then you can just add some more.
Figure 13: Stick, stick, stick!
Step 11: Cut a 2 1/2 in by 2 1/2 in piece of white paper.
Figure 14: Snip, snip, snip!
Step 12: Stamp a whale on it with blue ink.
Figure 15: Stamp, stamp, stamp!
Step 13: Wait ten million years... I mean, overnight for the gluey glitter to dry.
Figure 16: Wait, wait, wait!
Step 14: Use snaps with holes or a Crop-o-dile to attach the whale to the card. If you don't have them you can use a hole punch and a little glue.
Figure 17: Punch, punch, punch!
Step 15: Weave in some ribbon and tie it in a bow to decorate it.
Figures 18 and 19: The ribbon
Pro tip! Use some tape, a tiny drop of glue, or some glue dots to stick on the ribbon in the way you want it.
Ta da! It's done!
