Cooking up a great craft!

If you have a friend who likes baking, this is the perfect birthday card for her! Let's craft it!

Supplies:

  • Lawn Fawn clear baking stamps (Have a sweet birthday)

  • Inks in purple, blue, and pink

  • Clear stamp blocks

  • Glue stick

  • 6 in by 6 in square of white card stock paper

  • Blue card stock paper

  • Heart punch

  • Stamp scrubber

  • Watercolors + water

  • Tiny brushes

  • Slide cutter

  • Fun scissors

  • Optional: Paper flower

Figure 1: A ton of crafting supplies!

Step one: If your card is not already 6 in by 6 in, cut it to those dimensions with a slide cutter.

Figure 2: Cut your paper.

Step two: Begin stamping your stamps on with the color ink. See the pictures below.

Figure 3: Stamp a mixer in purple

Figure 4: Stamp eggs, butter, and flour in blue. Stamp a bowl, spoon, and rolling pin in pink

Figure 5: Stamp a cupcake on a stand in purple. Two stamps are required.

Step three: Wait for the ink to dry. MAKE SURE IT IS FULLY DRY! IF NOT IT WILL SMUDGE!

THIS IS AN IMPORTANT STEP!

Step four: While you wait, you can punch out some hearts from the blue paper. Then use your fun scissors to cut a strip out for your message.

Step five: When you are SURE IT IS TOTALLY DRY, we can start water coloring in all of our stamps. Start with the mixer, painting it in with grey and pink. Then paint your butter in yellow, but leave the eggs white. Paint your bowl, spoon, and rolling pin in pink also. Then paint your cupcake in any color you like!

Figures 7, 8, and 9: Watercolor in your stamps!

Step six: Glue on your paper strip. Then, stamp on some messages!

Also, I added some little hearts on the sides of the strip in pink.

Figure 10: Stamp it on!

Step seven: Glue your paper hearts all over the paper! They work great to cover up mistakes too... oops. Glue on your paper flower as well. If you don't have one, you can use one of the hearts.

And it is done!
